What is the Cisco Networking Academy Program?
The Cisco Networking Academy™ Program is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy program delivers Web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry-standard certifications. Launched in 1997, there are over 10,000 Networking Academies in 152 countries including the Stella Maris Polytechnic Cisco Networking Academy in Liberia. Over 400,000 students are enrolled in Academies in high schools, colleges and universities, technical schools, community-based organizations, and other educational programs around the world.
Networking Academy Curricula Overview
The CCNA courses, as well as all other Networking Academy curricula, are taught by trained instructors who deliver standards-based, high-quality content in specially equipped labs, where students practice hands-on exercises to apply the concepts they learn. Cisco updates the curricula regularly to encompass new technologies and improved instructional techniques. The Networking Academy courses prepare students for opportunities in the real world by providing skills that range from basic networking abilities to VLAN troubleshooting. Academy courses support successful careers in network design and administration, technical support, programming, and software engineering.
The associate-level CCNA courses listed below cover the basic foundations of networking.
CCNA
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), a 280-hour curriculum, is the first step in a Cisco career certification path.
